R2: Switch Weapons R1: Shoot ----------- 4.0 Weapons ----------- -------------------- 4.1 Handheld Weapons -------------------- ----------------- 4.1.1 Zap-O-Matic ----------------- The Basic Furon Weapon. The Zap-O Matic is a lightning gun with can be upgraded to chain the lightning to more than one target at once. Instead of having ammo it recharges after being used continuously for a short length of time. It is rather good but unfortunately doesn't do much damage. It is available from the start of the game. Pros: Doesn't require ammo. Can electrocute more than one enemy at a time. Cons: Pretty Weak. -------- Upgrades -------- 1. Chain lightning to one additional target. Cost: 250 DNA Available after 'Earth Women are Delicious'. 2. Chain lighning to two additional targets. Cost: 750 DNA Available after 'The Island Suburbia'. 3. Chain lightning to 4 additional targets. Cost: 1500 DNA Available after 'The Lone Gunman'. ------------------------ 4.1.2 Disintergrator Ray ------------------------ This is a good weapon. It has a quick rate of fire and a large ammo capacity. However, true to it's name it completely disintergrates the target, making it useless for collecting DNA. The ammo packs are bright yellow. It is available from 'Alien Pool Party'. Pros: Great for taking out large crowds of enemies. High rate of fire. High ammo capacity. Great for taking on vehicles. Cons: Useless for DNA collecting. Requires ammo. -------- Upgrades -------- 1. Increased ammo capacity and fire rate. Cost: 400 DNA Available after 'Televisions of Doom'. 2. Twin-shot. Cost: 1000 DNA Available after 'The Mutant Menace'. 3. Triple-shot. Cost: 2000 DNA! Available after 'The Furon Filibuster'. ------------------- 4.1.3 Ion Detonator ------------------- This is a very powerful weapon. It's the furon equivalent of a grenade launcher. It fires disintergrator grenades which vaporises anything in their blast radius. And they have a timer so that you can activate them at the most convienient moment. Unfortunately, like the Disintergrator Ray this makes it useless for DNA collecting. It's ammo packs are bright red. It is available from 'South by Southwest'. Pros: Great against everything. The timer. Cons: Requires ammo. Low ammo capacity and fire rate. Can disintergrate Crypto too. -------- Upgrades -------- 1. Increased ammo capacity. Cost: 500 DNA Available after 'Suburb of the Damned'. 2. Increased area of effect Cost: 1250 DNA Available after 'Armquist vs the Furons'. 3. Increased ammo capacity and damage Cost: 2500 DNA!! Available after 'Shocking Developments' ---------------- 4.1.4 Anal Probe ---------------- This is a great weapon for DNA collecting. It fires a stange green rope at the enemies. If it hits the enemy runs away with their bum sprouting green flames before falling over. Then their heads explode, leaving DNA to be collected. This needs to be charged before firing and is difficult to aim. Unfortunately this weapon can't be upgraded. Pros: Great for DNA collecting. Doesn't need ammo. Cons: Hard to aim. Needs to be charged before firing to get any real effect. Useless against vehicles. -------- Upgrades -------- This weapon doesn't have any upgrades. ------------ 4.1.5 Shield ------------ Although this isn't strictly a weapon, I decided to include it anyway. It is all that stands between Crypto and death (Apart from his saucer). It's energy packs are bright green. Unsurprisingly this is available from the start of the game. Unfortunately this weapon doesn't have any upgrades. Pros: The only thing that shields you from death. Always equipped. Cons: Can be brought down easily. -------- Upgrades -------- This weapon doesn't have any upgrades. -------------- Saucer Weapons -------------- --------------- 4.2.1 Death Ray --------------- The classic saucer weapon. It fires out a devastating beam of light which quickly obliterates all in it's path. Like the Zap-O-matic, after shooting continuously for a short period of time. It isn't the most powerful saucer weapon but it is the most reliable. It is available from the beginning of the game. Pros: Doesn't require ammo. Destroys things quickly and effectively. Cons: Not incredibly powerful. -------- Upgrades -------- 1. Increased recharge rate. Cost: 500 DNA Available after 'Citizen Crypto'. 2. Increased damage Cost: 1000 DNA Available after 'Teenage Zombies from Outer Space'. ---------------- 4.2.2 Sonic Boom ---------------- A useful weapon, this generates a miniture sonic boom that blasts humans to pieces and throws vehicles into the air. It can be really useful for destroying buildings too. Unfortunatly it can't hold much ammo. It's ammo packs are silver. It is available from 'South by Southwest'. Pros: Very powerful. Very funny. Great at destroying buildings. Cons: Requires ammo. Doesn't flip anti-aircraft into the air. Low rate of fire. -------- Upgrades -------- 1. Increased ammo and area of effect. Cost: 750 DNA Available after 'Foreign Correspondent'. 2. Increased area of effect. Cost: 1250 DNA Available after 'Duck and Cover'. --------------------------- 4.2.3 Quantum Deconstructor --------------------------- This is an incredible weapon. It fires a miniture nuclear bomb at it's target, demolishing it quickly. It can destroy anything in one hit except bosses. Unfortunatley it's ammo is scarce. The ammo looks like green Sonic Boom ammo. It is available from 'It's a Wonderful Armageddon'. Pros: Can level buildings to the ground extremely quickly. Destroys everything really quickly. Cons: Requires ammo. Low ammo capacity. Low rate of fire. -------- Upgrades -------- 1. Increased ammo capacity and area of effect. Cost: 1000 DNA Available after 'Furon Down'. 2. Increased ammo capacity. Cost: 2500 DNA!!! Available after 'Shocking Developments'. ------------ Abducto Beam ------------ This doesn't abduct people straight to your spaceship for examination, contrary to it's name. Instead it lifts things up into the air, and allows you to throw them around, or drop the somewhere, or smash them into the side of a building. With this you can pick up any type of enemy and play around with them. One of my favourite things is to pick up a G-man and dump him in a swimming pool in Santa Modesta. This is my favourite weapon in the game, and is great fun. Unfortunatley it can't be upgraded. It is available from the start. Pros: Great fun. Can destroy things really quickly. Unlimited power. Cons: Very difficult to pick up people. -------- Upgrades -------- This weapon has no upgrades. ------------ 4.2.5 Shield ------------ Even though this isn't strictly a weapon, I've included it anyway. It protects the saucer and can take quite a lot of punishment. The shield repair kits look like silver rings with a glowing green light in the centre. Unfortunately this can't be upgraded. Pros: The only thing that shields you from death. Always equipped. Cons: Can be brought down easily. -------- Upgrades -------- This weapon has no upgrades. --------------------- 4.3 Psychic Abilities --------------------- ---------------- 4.3.1 Brain Scan ---------------- This probes the mind of a human being, showing you whatever they're thinking. Some of those things can be very funny, but this is primarily used to keep the concentration meter full while in a holoblob disguise. You can't upgrade this ability. Pros: Keeps concentration meter high. Needed to maintain holoblob disguise. Can be very funny. Cons: Can get boring after a while. -------- Upgrades -------- This ability has no upgrades. ---------------------- 4.3.2 Brain Extraction ---------------------- This overloads the minds of human beings, making their heads explode, making it possible to collect brain stems, which are a valuable source of DNA. This basically does the same job as the anal probe. You can't upgrade this ability. Pros: Great for collecting DNA. Collects DNA from living and dead people. Cons: Drains concentration meter. -------- Upgrades -------- This ability has no upgrades. -------------------------------- 4.3.2.1 Your Guide to Brainstems -------------------------------- You may not have noticed this, but there are more than one type of brainstem. Purple: 10 DNA Green: 25 DNA Gold: 50 DNA Bronze: 100 DNA Red: 200 DNA -------------- 4.3.3 Hypnosis -------------- This forces a human to obey you, bringing them under your control. The two main functions of this are distracion and sleep. Sleep is obvious, and distraction makes the human imitate an animal, or in the case of cows, makes them dance on their hind legs. Some humans have special hypnosis commands. Pros: Very funny. Dancing cows! Can be extremely useful. Cons: Drains concentration meter -------- Upgrades -------- This ability has no upgrades. ------------------ 4.3.4 Psycokinesis ------------------ This is also known as telekinesis, the power to move objects purely with the power of the mind. In this game it can be great fun, as you can fling pretty much anything around the air, including people, cars, tanks and even battlesuits. This ability, unlike the others, be upgraded. Pros: Great against people and battlesuits Very effective. Throwing cows! Cons: Drains concentration meter Useless against tanks. -------- Upgrades -------- 1. Pick up vehicles. Cost: 500 DNA Available after 'Citizen Crypto'. 2. Pick up tanks and robots. Cost: 1500 DNA Available after 'Whatever Happened to Crypto 136?'. 3. Doubled concentration reserve. Cost: 2000 DNA! Available after 'Armquist vs the Furons'. -------------- 4.3.5 Holoblob -------------- Holoblobing is the final psychic ability. This allows you to take a human form, which allows you to infiltrate human society without being seen. This makes it incredibly useful for most missions. This ability can't be upgraded. Pros: Great for stealth missions. You can take the form of anyone that you want. Cons: Constantly drains the concentration meter. Can be jammed by Majestic agents. -------- Upgrades -------- This ability has no upgrades. ----------- 5.0 Enemies ----------- ------------------- 5.1 On-Foot Enemies ------------------- --------------- 5.1.1 Civilians --------------- ----------- 5.1.1.1 Men ----------- Average men. These are no problem. Threat rating: 1/10 Tactics: None. DNA yielded: 10-200 ------------- 5.1.1.2 Women ------------- Average women. These are no problem. Threat rating: 1/10 Tactics: None. DNA yielded: 10 ------------------ 5.1.1.3 Scientists ------------------ These look like Einstein and speak with stupid accents. These yield little DNA despite their intelligence. Threat rating: 1/10 Tactics: None. DNA yielded: 10 -------------- 5.1.1.4 Mayors -------------- These are the mayors of the human societies. These yield little DNA. Threat rating: 1/10 Tactics: None. DNA yielded: 10 --------------- 5.1.1.5 Farmers --------------- Often armed with pitch-forks and shotguns, these are normal american farmers. Threat rating: 4/10 Tactics: Zap them. DNA yielded: 10-25 ------------ 5.1.2 Police ------------ These are average police officers that tend to shoot first and ask questions later. Threat rating: 6/10 Tactics: Disintergrate or Ion them. DNA yielded: 25-50 ---------- 5.1.3 Army ---------- These are the countries soldiers that destroy other humans and aliens. These take two fully charged Anal Probe shots to make their heads explode. Threat ratings: 7/10 Tactics: Disintergrate or Ion them. DNA yielded: 25 -------------- 5.1.4 Majestic -------------- These are the MIB of this game. --------------------------- 5.1.4.1 Light Weapon Agents --------------------------- These are the easier Majestic agents. They have anti-Furon pistols. These take three fully charged Anal Probe shots to make their heads explode. Threat rating: 8/10 Tactics: Disintergrate, Ion or Pk them. DNA yielded: 25 --------------------------- 5.1.4.2 Heavy Weapon Agents --------------------------- These are a nightmare. They have guns that can kill you in two hits. Dodge green flying shots coming at you at all costs (Unless you're in your saucer). These take three fully charged Anal Probe shots to make their heads explode. Threat rating: 10/10 Tactics: Disintergrate, Ion or Pk them. DNA yielded: 25 --------------------- 5.1.5 Special Enemies --------------------- ------------------ 5.1.5.1 Silhouette ------------------ Sillouette now had twin majestic pistols and everyone following her around. Prepare for Hell. Threat Rating: 10/10 Tactics: This is a really tough battle. If it was just Silhouette on her own it would be easy but she has battlesuits and majestic agents fighting along side her. Immediately switch to your Ion Detonator as the battle starts. Ion Silhouette a few times until she starts glowing pink. This is when she is healing. Unfortunately you can't hurt her when she is like this so disintergrate the majestic agents and PK the battlesuits. Luckily there are no Mutants during the fight. When she has finished healing attack her again. Altogether she heals herself three times during this battle. After she has healed for the third time, finish her off. If you run low on ammo you canfind more in the crates that are scattered around the Octagon. 7Column suggested this approach: Go to the side of the building where it is broken down. This is the best spot to get Silhouette in. There is a stash of ammo there and she can't move a lot. Just be sure to ion the crap out of her. You really should get the last Ion Detonator upgrade before you fight her. There is also a glitch I found out. If you can get her to roll under on of the huge concrete slabs, she will get stuck there. She can't move. She is just a sitting duck. Just don't die yourelf and she will be easy pickings. DNA yielded: N/A ------------ 5.1.5.2 Cows ------------ --------------------- 5.1.5.2.1 Normal Cows --------------------- These are average cows. Threat rating: 1/10 Tactics: None. DNA yielded: 0 -------------------------- 5.1.5.2.2 Radioactive Cows -------------------------- Exploding cows. As far as I know, these are only found on the missions 'Citizen Crypto' and 'The Mutant Menace'. Threat rating: 1/10 Tactics: PK them at everyone else. DNA yielded: 0 --------------- 5.1.5.3 Mutants --------------- These are human Majestic agents who have furon mind-powers. As far as I know, these are only found on the missions 'The Mutant Menace' and most of the later levels. They are also found wandering through Capitol City. Threat rating: 10/10 Tactics: Ion or Disintergrate them. DNA yielded: 50 --------------------- 5.2 Vehicular Enemies --------------------- -------------- 5.2.1 Civilian -------------- ------------ 5.2.1.1 Cars ------------ These are average means of transport in america. Threat rating: 1/10 Tactics: None. -------------- 5.2.1.2 Trucks -------------- These transport things. Threat rating: 1/10 Tactics: None. ------------ 5.2.2 Police ------------ Average police cars. Carry a few officers at a time. Threat rating: 4/10 Tactics: Ion them before the stop. ---------- 5.2.3 Army ---------- -------------- 5.2.3.1 Trucks -------------- These transport several soldiers at a time. Threat rating: 6/10 Tactics: PK or Ion them. ------------- 5.2.3.2 Tanks ------------- These are the vehicle versions of the heavy weapon agents. Threat rating: 7/10 Tactics: Use your saucer. ---------------------------------- 5.2.3.3 Anti-Aircraft Machine Guns ---------------------------------- Typical AA guns: These only shoot you if you're in your saucer or jetpacking. Threat rating: 8/10 Tactics: Disintergrate them. --------------------------------------- 5.2.3.4 Anti-Aircraft Missile Launchers --------------------------------------- These are a nightmare. They fire homing rockets that take a third of your saucers shield away. Luckily these only shoot you if you're in your saucer or jetpacking. Threat rating: 10/10 Tactics: Destroy them as quickly as possible. ------------------- 5.2.3.5 Battlesuits ------------------- These are easy enough. They look difficult but their guns are really weak. Threat rating: 6/10 Tactics: PK them. -------------- 5.2.4 Majestic -------------- Majestic cars are easy enough. They only carry a few agents at a time. Threat rating: 7/10 Tactics: Ion or PK them. --------------------- 5.2.5 Special Enemies --------------------- ---------------- 5.2.5.1 Roboprez ---------------- This is the new American President. Roboprez is a huge machine that can easily destroy you, if he goes into 'Dirty Tricks' mode. Threat rating: 9/10 Tactics: This guy isn't that tough. The annoying thing is that he has both types of AA guns, tanks and tesla coils to destroy you. Luckily though, health and ammo is plentiful Make sure that you have all 18 upgrades before you face him. First, aim your Quantam Deconstructor at his chest and let rip. When you run out of Quantam Deconstructor ammo use the Sonic Boom. After you take down each quarter of his health he will run off. He has two attacks. The first is that he fires two yellow missiles at you. These are like the AA rockets but thankfully they are not as tough. Then he shoots an unavoidable green beam at you, which is similar to a Tesla Coil. This only happens at close range though, luckily. Once he is destroyed. rejoice. 7Column suggested this approach: This is a pretty straight-foward battle. Roboprez's attacks is that he shoots his arms at you like rockets and shoots this green beam at you. His rocket hand attack is easily avoided. His beam attack can't be dodged, it homes in on you and hurt's pretty bad. He only does the beam attack at a certain range. As long as you have plenty of ammo for your Quantum Deconstructer and Sonic Boom and this should be a breeze. Just be sure to hit him in the chest with the Deconstructor. What makes this batle annoying is all the supporting stuff. Around him he has both Anti-Air turrets, tanks, and telsa coils that shoot the Human version of the Zap-O-Matic at your saucer. There are plenty of health and ammo around though. Shouldn't be too tough. ---------------- 5.2.5.2 Armquist ---------------- This is just armquist in a battlesuit. But he is really annoying some times. Threat rating: 9/10 Tactics: This can be a tough battle. Armquist has two attacks. One is a machine gun and the other is missiles that fly out of the back of his suit and hit the ground, trying to barbeque you. Use the Ion Detonator and the Disintergrator ray on him to take his health down. When he uses the rockets simply jetpack away to the right or left and keep firing while flying. If you do that, he should be a piece of cake. 7Column suggested this approach: He only took me about 1 minute to beat him. I'm serious. Just Ion the crap out of him. It's not that hard. Just don't get his by his attacks and watch your shield and he should go down in a snap. Adam Morris suggested this approach: Armquist is easy if you stand in the hangar where you talk to all the Generals. The rocket attacks hit the roof and you can dodge around the corner and hit him with Ion/disintegration. ------------------- 5.2.5.3 Tesla Coils ------------------- These aren't strictly a weapon, but are incredibly annoying. They fire the equivilent of a Zap-O-Matic at your saucer if you get too close to them. They take down your saucer with terrifying efficiency. They can also withstand a lot of punishment. Threat rating: 8/10 Tactics: Avoid them. Or, if you can't, Ion, Deconstruct or Sonic them into oblivion. ------- 6.0 FAQ ------- Q: Can I put your guide on my website?
