Copyright ------------ Introduction ------------ This is my first FAQ that I have written alone. I chose to do it on Everything or Nothing because I have been playing the demo a lot lately and thought it would be fun. This Demo FAQ will tell you everything you need to know to finish the two level demo on the OXM February disc, including secret areas and all Bond moves. I will also provide a weapons listing and go over the controls (They can be tricky sometimes!). Thank you goes to Thomas Palmer. I borrowed the FAQ layout from his Beyond Good and Evil Walkthrough. :) --------- Game Info --------- James Bond 007 Everything or Nothing is the latest Bond game from EA Games. He jumps off the edge of the building and shoots his rappel gun to attach to the building. This is where you come in to take control of Bond. Rappel down the building by pressing and holding forward on the left stick. You can aim yourself left or right to dodge the flames on your way down. When you reach the bottom, you're presented with your first objective. OBJECTIVE: Drop charge into vent As soon as you reach the ground, head left and change to your rappel gun. Hold L and it will auto-target an available area for you to use your rappel gun. Fire, and then let go of L. To rappel up the wall simply run towards it and keep pushing up. When you get to the top you will find a Dragunov sniper rifle with five rounds. This will also give you your first Bond move of the demo. From here, you can spot a few guards below and take them out if you wish to do so. Although, if you do, the other guards will be alerted and you won't be able to take the stealthier approach. If not, jump back down and take the stealthier approach. You'll see an enemy fiddling with a computer system and not having much luck. Walk up behind him and press X or Y to choke him and knock him out. You'll obtain the Desert Eagle. Walk straight ahead and on the right wall there will be a button you can push. This will turn on the steam from the vents and temporarily blind several enemies standing over them around the corner. Walk around the corner and take out the three enemies as you wish. You can use hand to hand combat or your weapons. Whatever floats your boat. No need to worry about saving ammo if that is a concern, there is plenty to find in the demo. After you take one out one more will show up to the party. Dispatch them then go up the steps and to the left and next to a barrel is a body armor. Go back down the steps and to the tube that has light coming out of it. Press A to drop the charge into the vent and complete your first objective. OBJECTIVE: Rappel off building edge After the FMV, rappel where the explosion damaged the building to complete this easy objective. You'll also complete a Bond move while doing so. The second ledge you come across you'll run into three enemies; one behind you, and two rappelling enemies. Kill them and either continue rappelling or go in the building. If you decide to go in the building, take a left to find another body armor. Turn around and kill the enemy on the other end. Before you get to the window, stand next to the table on the left side and press A to knock it over, completing yet another Bond move. Kneel down and wait for the two rappelling enemies to appear and shoot through the glass. Rappel out of the window and pick up their ammo. Before you rappel from this ledge, go around to the right and there will be two more enemies. Now you can rappel to the left or the right. To the left on the ground is another body armor, to the right you will rappel next to the flame vents that are activated when you land. OBJECTIVE: Shut off flame vents Go to the left where you can see a white door. Before you go to the door, hit the button on the wall on the left to complete another Bond move. Steam will come up through the vent an enemy walks over when you approach the door. Get rid of him and around the corner will be the button to turn off the flame vent. Head back into the burning building, but watch out because an enemy will have a rocket launcher aimed at your face. Take him out first by hugging the wall and target him for a nice headshot. Then head into the room and hide behind the first set of crates on the left. Activate Bond Sense, and you will see three shootable parts in the ceiling. Press L again to target them, and then shoot. Shooting out these will cause parts of the ceiling to cave in on the enemies, and give you another Bond Move. In the corner before you go where the flame vents were there is another body armor to get. Rappel off the building to complete the level. ######################## The Pontchartrain Bridge ######################## You start with an FMV of Jaws racing away in a semi, and Bond hopping on the nearest motorcycle. Speed through the forest and onto the highway in pursuit of Jaws. OBJECTIVE: Disable Jaws' tanker You begin in the forest. Go into the water instead of the road and you can use the incline from the water to ramp over the gate. Going this path will go to the left and away from several enemies encamped on the right side of the road below. Otherwise, you can shoot rockets to blast open the gate and go on the main road. As you get on the highway watch for a flatbed propped up conveinently in the road that will act as a ramp for you to jump over the tollbooth and blast through the "Reduce Speed" sign. Go as fast as you can and watch the traffic. Soon two enemies will come from the left. You can shoot them with your rockets or use your flame thrower, or just speed past them and leave them in your dust. By this time you should be going as fast as you can, and keeping an eye out for a yellow roadblock on the left going up an incomplete ramp. Blast them with your rockets and head through. If you aren't going fast enough you will fall into the water. When you land you'll be on the other side, heading against traffic. This is going to be a long stretch of oncoming traffic, so keep your head up. Eventually you'll catch up to Jaws. If you are on the right side of the freeway you'll have to contend with two delivery trucks with enemies that will shoot and throw explosive barrels at you. Switch to your flame thrower and get next to him and put the hurt on. This will wear him down quickly. He will make a run for the other side of the freeway after a while. Be quick to switch direction because the carnage that Jaws causes can make you crash quite easily. Wear him down with the flamethrower and quickly enough he will be defeated. If you ride next to him for too long he will ram you into the wall and you'll lose health. This really isn't an issue though, if you've done well before meeting up with Jaws. *If you didn't jump to the left side, this is what happens* Thank you to AndreW FosteR for clearing this up completely! At the end of the Pontchartrain Bridge walkthrough, you mentioned the sliding under the truck. If you continue down the right side of the bridge, until you catch up with Jaws, you'll see what happens. Jaws hits another, yellow semi-, which goes crossways on the road. You then slide under that truck, torching a bike and the truck, then speed off in persuit of Jaws to see the normal ending. --------------- Tips and Tricks --------------- Here I'll go over some basic tips and tricks that will make you better. Headshots : Getting headshots consistently will help you mow down enemies more efficiently. While locking on with L, slightly press up on the right stick to put the red cursor over the enemies' noggin. Blast away for an instant kill. Hand-to-Hand Combat : This is good for when you want to conserve ammo, be stealthy, or just plain punch a dude in the neck and then throw him into a wall. You fight with X and Y. These are your punches. You can string together combos with them, and then press X+Y to do a throw move. If there is a wall behind an enemy Bond will slam him into the wall for an instant knock-out. If you sneak up behind enemies, and press either X or Y, Bond will do a stealth take-down. Crouching : You should crouch whenever you can use the environment to your advantage. Crouch while you reload or want to assess the sticky situation you're in. Rolling : When you want to get from one safe spot to another and there are enemies crowding the room, use a smooth roll to safely move. Press B while running. Peeking around corners : Stand next to a wall and press the white button to put your back up against the wall. You can easily peek around corners without being shot or seen, and you can still lock onto enemies. Fire your weapon to peek around and fire on the target you're locked onto. Using stealth : There are several opportunities to use stealth in the EoN demo. Whenever you can, sneak up behind enemies and press either X or Y to perform a takedown that will instantly knock them out. Blowing up barrels : If you don't want to risk your butt in a firefight, you can shoot out barrels that enemies are next to for easy kills. Press left or right on the d-pad to open your inventory. If there is a barrel on-screen, it will be highlighted. Hold L and then select your weapon with A, and then fire when the barrel is highlighted. Driving Tip : Hug the shoulder and drive between it and the yellow line. In this fine space, you're safe from cars running into you if you drive it perfectly straight. It will also allow you to reach top speed and get away from enemies easily. ------------ Demo Reviews ------------ Here are some reviews written by GameFAQs users. If you want me to post your demo review here, email me at everythingornothing(at)l33tninj4(dot)com! Thanks for submitting these, guys! :) ----------------------------------- |Written by : OmniConsumerProducts| ----------------------------------- Although it is a demo, James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing's demo that came on the Feburary OXM demo disc is better than most action/adventure games that are out already. The gameplay is a blast, since you can either go in like Arnold and start shooting them all, or you can use your wits to take them out quietly. For example, in the on-foot demo level "A Long Way Down," you could go down the stairs and start shooting immediately, or you could turn left, silently take out the guard by the computer, turn on the steam, head back, and rappell up to the sniper rifle where you could take them out without being noticed. The vehicle level "The Pontchartrain Bridge" is awesome as well, presenting Bond excitement that you would get from a sequence like this in the movies, and constructed so it would feel like you are not only watching that scene, but instead, you are zooming down a highway, against or with a great amount of traffic, performing things that you would see in a Bond movie. For example, later in the level, Jaws causes another tanker to turn, preventing bond from continuing the chase. You must slide under the sideways tanker while an opponent on a motorbike jumps from an overturned truck and starts shooting at you. He will then crash into the tanker, causing a massive explosion that kills the opponent, and nearly incinerates Bond. The graphics are a big improvement from other Bond games. In Everything or Nothing, the character designs are perfect, and I do mean PERFECT designs of the actors that play the roles. By actors, I don't mean washed up talent that was cast as a video game character. I mean the actual actors that play their movie counterparts. That, however is not the only massive improvement. In Everything or Nothing, the view has changed from 1st person to 3rd person. This is a huge improvement, even moreso than the actual actors. The new perspective adds about 70% to the movie experience, because you can always see Bond, as in the movies. The sound is great, but because of a few reasons, it is not perfect. For one, the theme is sped up quite a bit, and therefore makes the infamous "gun-barrel sequence" innacurate. Even though it is a minor error, that theme is essential to the 007 franchise itself, and shouldn't have been tampered with. However, the rest of the music is great, especially for the music in the vehicle level when you slide under the tanker. Here is the real gem though, in Everything or Nothing, Judi Dench is M (not in the demo though), Pierce Brosnan is James, and John Cleese is Q. Also, there is Richard Kiel playing every true Bond fans' favorite villian, Jaws. Furthermore, there is Shannon Elizabeth, Heidi Klum, Mya, and perhaps the greatest actor that was a recent success in Hollywood, Willem Dafoe. The controls are fine, except for the aiming. When you want to aim, you have to hold the L button. When you get used to it, its more of a blessing than a curse when you figure out that if you use left or right on the d-pad in conjunction with the L button, you can make time slow down, as well as target enemies or barrels, and change your weapon, making things a lot easier. The controls are layed out fine, and are easy to get used to. Any fan that likes the Bond films as much as I should try to pick this game up on the 17th before it is put on the shelves. This game easily passes as 007 21, or 007 20.5. A stellar cast, beautiful graphics, and a Bond like feel that improves from all games including GoldenEye should get you excited as only Ian Flemming could. This Bond game is not only that, its an adventure. Get it if you are a Bond fan, and don't pass this up! ------- Credits ------- OmniConsumerProducts -Submitted a nice demo review, corrected me on an error in Pontchartain Bridge walkthrough Xploited13 -Told me about the last Bond move in A Long Way Down AndreW FosteR -Cleared up my confusion over the other way to go through the Pontchartrain Bridge --------- Copyright --------- This FAQ should only appear on GameFAQs.com, unless given my personal permission.
