When the MRC is broke down... There were very few people chatting today. I suspected something was wrong. And now MRC doesn't work at all. My neck is aching with a cold. And I have nothing to distract myself with except the news and bbsing. I found an excellent RSS reader for Windows. Older versions work on Windows XP. The program is called Quite RSS (http://quiterss.org). It doesn't require any frameworks from you. To read RSS news of modern SSL sites, use a proxy, or any external browser with TLS / RSS support. I constantly monitor dozens of news sites because I hate social media. Quite RSS has a simple and user-friendly interface. And most importantly, there is a portable version! This is the best RSS feeder I've used ever. Perhaps this client may work in Windows 2000 as well. But in any case, you will need an external browser with TLS/SSL support or proxy. p.s. When will MRC be turned on?
