The Fax of 1860 that everyone forgot about The 19th century holds many intriguing surprises for explorers. In 1841, the world's first electronic clock was patented (https://bit.ly/3DlPWcW). The clock had a pendulum, which was set in motion by electromagnetic impulses. But today we will look at something more interesting. In 1856, the world's first FAX was invented - "Pantelegraph" by Giovanni Caselli (https://bit.ly/3NCs8GG). In 1860, in Paris, the device was presented to the general public. The original version had impressive dimensions. Graphic information was transmitted over a distance of hundreds of kilometers. A pendulum was attached to the mechanism, which acted as a driving force, thanks to which the mechanism rod could draw a sent picture. The pendulum oscillated a little, touching the lever, it set the direction of the writing rod. Within a few months, the first commercial fax company was established. Moreover, it was enough to purchase only one device to send and receive data. The following versions of the device were able to change the scale and even paint pictures. Today many researchers call this device the Internet of Masons.
