Antivaxxer kept for a long time in a mental hospital by force The psychiatric examination recognized (https://bit.ly/3KQvvby) that one of the leaders of the Ukrainian anti-vaccination movement, Ostap Stakhiv, does not suffer from mental illness and can be held accountable for his actions in court. Experts considered Stakhiv completely mentally healthy. The examination was carried out at the end of last year, but its results became known only now. Ostap Stakhiv spent 30 days in the Lviv Regional Psychiatric Hospital, he was released shortly before the New Year. Ostap Stakhiv is suspected of actions aimed at forcibly changing or overthrowing the constitutional order or seizing state power. On November 18, 2021, the court arrested Stakhiv before sentencing, he subsequently contributed 998.8 thousand hryvnias and can now be at large, but cannot leave Ukraine. In the case of Ostap Stakhiv, the investigation continues, the case is planned to be brought to court before the end of March. According to the articles incriminated to him, Ostap Stakhiv faces 5 to 10 years in prison.
