Long) [Classic Apple Beep] When System 7 made it so simple to change system beeps, everybody started creating these ridiculously long guitar chords, cowbells, burps, and other stupid system beeps. Apple's set of beeps became thoroughly annoying (especially that !@#$# monkey), and most other ones are too long for my tastes. I wanted a beep that was short, practical, and that was obviously a system sound. So here is it. The Classic Apple beep. Still the best. This file is in the form of a System 7 sound file. To use it you must drag it onto your system file. If you are not using System 7, you must obtain a sound moving utility of some sort to install it in your system. All I ask is that you keep this short note with the sound file. You would ask the same. Rob Dewhirst Echopapa@aol.com dewhirst@kcufgat.fidonet.org --- .
