Welcome to the University of California, San Diego, Academic Computing Services UserServe file server system. The system here holds the UCSD Site Licensed software as well as a current distribution of MacKermit, and useful Public Domain or shareware software.

     Dial in users who want to use a graphical Mac interface should download the Telefinder/user program, (it is in a self extracting archive). Open the folder "public" and download the file "UCSD Telefinder user.sit". Use the name "guest" for both name and password. This is access to everything that can be distributed via modem.

    Users accessing the server via internet Gopher are asked to be gentle with our little mac here. This is not a major interenet FTP site, but rather a system for the UCSD community.

The commercial software distribution has moved to it's own server 7/1/99. Contact
