itemtype

The itemtype is a special character which tells your Gopher client what
to do with the document it gets back. Typically, this is the first
character after the hostname block in the URL:

	gopher://rodentia.mouse.invalid:70/1/micepics
                                           ^          itemtype

Itemtype 1 indicates a directory. Other common itemtypes:

	0	text file
	7	indexed search server
	8	Telnet connection
	9	binary file
	g	.gif image
	I	any kind of image (client figures out what to do)
