selector

In Gopherspeak, a selector is the request string your Gopher client
transmits to the Gopher server to 'select' a resource, hence the name.

	gopher://rodentia.mouse.invalid:70/1/micepics
                                            ^^^^^^^^^ selector

The selector is frequently not the same as the display string, which is
what you actually see. The selector, however, is what really gets sent.
