Ex-US Official Predicts US Will Be in Afghanistan Until 2025

Meanwhile, the former top US commander in Afghanistan has projected that
US troops will remain in Afghanistan for another sixteen years. Retired
Lieutenant General David Barno told a Senate panel last week that it
will take until 2025 for the US to hand over control fully to Afghan
institutions.
