State Rep.: “What’s Medicaid?”

A veteran Republican state representative is coming under criticism for
admitting he doesn’t know what Medicaid is. Speaking before a hearing of
the Texas State Health and Human Services Committee, Gary Elkins said,
“What’s Medicaid? I know I hear it… I really don’t know what it is.”
