CIA Admits It Destroyed 92 Videotapes of Interrogations

The CIA has acknowledged it destroyed ninety-two videotapes documenting
harsh interrogations of prisoners held by the CIA. The number of
destroyed tapes is far more than has previously been acknowledged. ACLU
attorney Amrit Singh accused the agency of engaging in a “systematic
attempt to hide evidence of its illegal interrogations.”
