Waterboarding, Torture of Abu Zubaydah Produced False Leads

Meanwhile, former senior government officials have told the Washington
Post that the CIA’s decision to waterboard and torture their first
high-value captive, Abu Zubaydah, produced little intelligence. The
officials said not a single significant plot was foiled as a result of
Abu Zubaydah’s tortured confessions. Most of the useful information
gained from him was obtained before waterboarding was introduced.
