U.N. Says World Population Reaches 7 Billion 
---------------------------------------------



The United Nations says the population of the planet will reach seven
billion today, just 12 years after it hit 6 billion. The global
population is growing by roughly 200,000 people a day, and some predict
that by the end of this century it could climb to 10 billion. The U.S.
Census Bureau disagrees with the United Nation’s estimate and says the
world population will likely reach seven billion in between March and
April of next year.
