Senate Republicans Block "Buffett" Tax on Wealthiest Americans

Senate Republicans blocked an effort by Democrats to advance the
so-called Buffett rule to ensure the wealthiest Americans pay their fair
share in taxes. The proposed rule — named after billionaire Warren
Buffett — would have imposed a minimum tax rate of 30 percent for
households with adjusted gross incomes of at least $2 million.
