5 Moroccans Self-Immolate in Unemployment Protest

In Morocco, five people in the capital, Rabat, set themselves on fire
earlier this week to protest a lack of job opportunities for university
graduates. Three were hospitalized. Self-immolation has spread as a form
of protest in North Africa since a Tunisian man, Mohamed Bouazizi, set
himself on fire in December 2010, eventually losing his life — but
inspiring the outbreak of the Tunisian uprising.
