Man’s Death Marks Spain’s Third Eviction-Related Suicide

In Spain, a third person facing eviction from a foreclosed home has
killed himself. The 59-year-old man reportedly committed suicide on the
same day an eviction order against him was due to be served. His death
follows two previous eviction-related suicides that sparked mass
protests over Spain’s tough mortgage laws. Earlier this month, the
Spanish government ordered a two-year suspension on evictions but only
for homeowners who meet certain conditions.
