Pentagon: U.S. Military Suicides Broke All-Time Record in 2012

New figures show U.S. military suicides broke another all-time record
last year. According to the Pentagon, 349 active duty soldiers took
their own lives in 2012, far exceeding the number of U.S. troops killed
in battle. The previous record of 310 suicides within army ranks was set
in 2009. The figures do not include veterans no longer enlisted in the
military.
