Al Jazeera Expands U.S. Reach with Purchase of Current TV

Al Jazeera has purchased the cable news channel Current TV. The deal is
expected to give the Qatar-based news network a wider impact on the U.S.
media world. Current TV was founded by former vice president Al Gore and
reaches tens of millions of homes across the United States.
