Vatican Bank Execs Resign amid Growing Financial Scandal

Two top managers at the Vatican bank have resigned amid a growing
financial scandal. The resignation of former bank director Paolo
Cipriani and his deputy came just three days after a senior Vatican
accountant was arrested. The accountant, Monsignor Nunzio Scarano, is
accused of conspiring to smuggle $26 million into Italy from
Switzerland.
