Judge Delays Alabama Anti-Abortion Law

A federal judge has delayed until next year the enforcement of Alabama's
new anti-choice law, which threatens to close more than half the state's
abortion clinics. The measure forces doctors at the state’s five
clinics to obtain admitting privileges at a local hospital, a step that
can be impossible in part because some hospitals oppose abortion.
