Alabama Executes Prisoner Despite Claims of Mental Illness

Alabama has carried out its first execution in two years. Andrew Reid
Lackey was killed by lethal injection Thursday night for the 2005
stabbing murder of 80-year-old Charlie Newman. Lackey was put to death
despite claims he suffered mental illness.
