North Carolina Senate Approves Anti-Abortion Law

The North Carolina State Senate has passed sweeping restrictions on
abortion contained in a motorcycle safety bill. The measures sparked
mass protests from opponents who say they threaten to shutter clinics.
North Carolina Gov. Pat Mc Crory has said he will sign the bill, despite
a campaign promise not to approve new restrictions on abortion.
