The five-day event kicked off Tuesday with a march in the capital Tunis, viewed as the birthplace of the Arab Spring. Each year pro-democracy activists opposed to the current economic model meet to envision a more just world and mobilize around issues of debt, austerity, environmental devastation, gender injustice and more.
