NY State Assembly Advances Fracking Ban

The New York State Assembly has approved a measure that would impose a
two-year ban on the gas drilling process of hydraulic fracturing, or
fracking. New York has enforced a moratorium on fracking since 2008, but
it is currently up for review. The ban now goes to the state Senate.
