Study: Global Temperatures Highest in 4,000 Years

New figures show global temperatures have reached their hottest point in
at least 4,000 years. Previous research extended back 1,500 years. In an
article published in the journal Science, the study's authors warn the
coming decades are likely to surpass heat levels not seen since before
the last ice age.
