New York Legal Services Workers Strike over Pay, Cuts

The association providing legal services to poor New Yorkers is in the
midst of a labor strike over wages as well as cuts to healthcare and
retirement. More than 200 attorneys and support staff at Legal Services
NYC walked off the job earlier this month, citing what they called
crippling demands by management. The organization represents some 45,000
low-income residents on issues including evictions, domestic violence
and unemployment.
