Palestinians Seek U.N. Resolution Against Israeli Occupation; Man Killed in West Bank

Thousands of people gathered in the occupied West Bank for the funeral
of a Palestinian man shot dead by Israeli soldiers during a raid on the
Qalandiya refugee camp. The Israeli military says the man threw an
explosive device, but witnesses told Reuters he was watching from the
roof of his home. The shooting comes as Palestinians plan to submit a
draft resolution to the U.N. Security Council today calling for Israel
to end its 47-year occupation. The United States is expected to veto the
measure.
