February 3, 2014 Al Jazeera Cameraman Acquitted in Egypt ---------------------------------------- An Al Jazeera camera operator jailed in Egypt has been acquitted of all charges after more than six months behind bars. Mohamed Badr is one of a number of journalists to have been imprisoned since the military overthrew former President Mohamed Morsi in July. Badr's attorney says he expects him to be released. Around 20 Al Jazeera journalists still face trial on charges including aiding a terrorist group. In a statement Friday, the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights voiced alarm over what it called an "increasingly severe clampdown and physical attacks" on Egyptian journalists. .
