California Drought Threatens Water in Rural Areas

California is facing a major drought that is threatening water supplies
across the state. At least 17 rural communities, home to around 40,000
people, are in danger of running out of water within 60 to 120 days.
California saw less rainfall last year than in any other since becoming
a state in 1850.
