U.S. to Seek Death Penalty for Boston Marathon Bombing Suspect

The Justice Department has announced it will seek the death penalty for
Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Executions at the
federal level are relatively rare, but Attorney General Eric Holder said
in a statement, "The nature of the conduct at issue and the resultant
harm compel this decision." Tsarnaev is accused of plotting the attacks
with his older brother, Tamerlan, who later died in a firefight with
police.
