McConnell: Not Enough Votes to Defund Planned Parenthood

Senate Majority Leader Mitch Mc Connell has acknowledged anti-choice
lawmakers do not have enough votes to defund Planned Parenthood, despite
a renewed push following the release of heavily edited anti-choice
videos. Mc Connell told local news station WYMT defunding Planned
Parenthood would have to wait until Obama is out of office.

Sen. Mitch Mc Connell: "We just don't have the votes to get the outcome
that we'd like. ... The president has made it very clear he's not going
to sign any bill that includes defunding of Planned Parenthood. So
that's another issue that awaits a new president, hopefully with a
different point of view about Planned Parenthood."
