Shell to End Arctic Oil Drilling Program

Meanwhile, oil giant Shell has announced it will end its
multibillion-dollar Arctic drilling program. The announcement comes
after Shell's exploratory well in the Chukchi Sea showed only traces of
oil and gas. This summer, the Obama administration approved Shell's
permit to drill in the remote Arctic waters, despite fierce opposition
from environmental groups.
