Democrats Subpoena Trump's Taxes

House Ways and Means Committee Chair Richard Neal issued subpoenas for
President Trump's tax returns after the Treasury Department failed to
comply with a request to hand over the records by Monday of last week.
Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin wrote in a letter last week that the
request "lacks a legitimate legislative purpose." If the Treasury and
IRS continue to withhold the tax records, the battle will likely head to
the courts.
