75 Countries Using Artificial Intelligence for Mass Surveillance

A new report finds at least 75 countries around the world are using
facial recognition and other forms of artificial intelligence to surveil
massive numbers of people. The Carnegie Endowment for International
Peace warns new technologies like automated border controls and
algorithmic tools are being rapidly developed by companies in China,
France, Germany, Israel, Japan and the United States.
