July 22, 2020 U.S. Military Infection Rates Soar, Raising Concerns for Areas Near Overseas Bases ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The number of U.S. military personnel infected with COVID-19 has topped 20,000, raising growing concerns in Japan, South Korea, Germany and other countries housing U.S. military bases, as well as in the war zones of Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria.
