Gannett Will Cut Pay, Furlough Employees Amid Economic Loss From Coronavirus Pandemic

cutting pay and furloughing employees after a major loss in advertising
revenue amid the economic downturn spurred by the coronavirus pandemic.

Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay Times said it is reducing its print publication
to just two days per week and is furloughing workers during the
coronavirus crisis.
