Illinois Police Officer Fired After Fatally Shooting a Black Teenager
---------------------------------------------------------------------

In Illinois, a police officer in the city of Waukegan has been fired
following last week's fatal shooting of Marcellis Stinnette, a
19-year-old Black teenager. Stinnette was sitting in the passenger seat
of a car when the officer shot him and 20-year-old Tafara Williams, who
was in the driver's seat. Williams was also shot and injured. No gun was
found inside the car. The Department of Justice has agreed to review the
case. Police body camera and car footage of the shooting are expected to
be released this week.
