In a statement Saturday on his official Web site Kaleme.com, Mr. Mousavi urged supporters to take the "green path" they have followed in recent months by holding small and large gatherings. Green was the color of Mr. Mousavi's election campaign and was often used during the large opposition protests that followed Iran's presidential election in June. Mr. Mousavi's call comes two days after Iran's parliament approved 18 nominees put forward by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for his 21-member Cabinet. Mr. Ahmadinejad was re-elected in a controversial vote that saw Mr. Mousavi finish second. Government opponents say the election was fraudulent, and it set off days of street demonstrations. Thousands of Iranians have been arrested for protesting the outcome of the election. Some information for this report was provided by AFP and Reuters. .
