November 16, 2011 Bullet Struck White House Window, Secret Service Reports VOA News The U.S. Secret Service says a bullet has struck an exterior window of the White House, but was stopped by bullet-resistant glass. The Secret Service, which is tasked with protecting the U.S. president and other top officials, began investigating after reports of gunfire near the White House on Friday. Police have issued an arrest warrant for a 21-year-old man who is believed to be connected to Friday's incident, but the Secret Service has not made a definite connection between that incident and the bullets found at the White House.
