November 24, 2011 Iraq Bombings Kill 10 VOA News Iraqi security officials and medics say three bombings in the country's south have killed at least 10 people and wounded more than 55. Officials say the first bombings occurred in a market in the southern oil city of Basra. A third blast went off in the same area as people gathered to help those hurt in the previous explosions. Deadly attacks are frequent in Iraq. There were more than 250 people reported killed last month. However, violence across the country has decreased significantly since peaking in 2006 and 2007.
