Bomb at Pakistan Islamist Campaign Stop Kills 5 Officials in northwest Pakistan say a bomb that exploded in a market while an Islamist party candidate was campaigning has killed five people and wounded several others. It was not immediately clear if candidate Sayed Janan was injured in the blast Tuesday in the town of Hangu. No one has claimed responsibility for the explosion. The attack was the second in as many days targeting members of the right-wing Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, a party in the outgoing government coalition in Kurran, one of the seven districts making up Pakistan`s tribal belt. The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the blast Monday that killed at least 23 people. In recent weeks, the Taliban have launched multiple attacks on secular Pakistani parties. Elections are to held on May 11th. Kurran is frequently the scene of sectarian violence between Pakistan`s Sunni Muslim majority and the Shi`ite minority. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/bomb-at-pakistan-islamist-campaign-st op-kills-5/1655961.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/bomb-at-pakistan-islamist-campaign-stop-kills-5/1655961.html
