Authorities say an explosives-laden car struck a police station early Wednesday in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, located along the Afghan border where the Taliban and other militants have hideouts. Officials say the blast damaged the police station and seven nearby houses. The French news agency reports a bomb disposal official said more than 500 kilograms of explosives were used in the attack. Violence has been increasing in the northwest as Pakistan prepares to hold provincial and general elections on May 11. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/2-killed-in-pakistan-blast/1656691.ht ml References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/2-killed-in-pakistan-blast/1656691.html
