Saudi Man Traveling With Pressure Cooker Arrested A Saudi man was arrested at the international airport in Detroit after authorities said he made a false statement about why he was traveling with a pressure cooker. Hussain al-Kwawahir was being held Monday in Detroit on allegations of using a passport with a missing page and lying to U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents. Pressure cookers packed with explosive powder and shrapnel were used in the Boston Marathon bombings last month, killing three people and wounding more than 250. Authorities say al-Kwawahir initially said he brought the cooker with him for his nephew, who he said is a university student in Ohio. He later changed that story and was arrested on suspicion of making a false statement. A criminal complaint says the Saudi national arrived at Detroit`s airport Saturday on a flight from Saudi Arabia via Amsterdam. The complaint says he was read his rights and that he invoked his right to remain silent. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/saudi-man-traveling-with-pressure-coo ker-arrested/1660263.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/saudi-man-traveling-with-pressure-cooker-arrested/1660263.html
