Arrest Made in New Orleans Parade Shooting Police in New Orleans, Louisiana say they have arrested the man suspected of opening fire during a neighborhood parade earlier this week, leaving 19 people wounded. A police spokesman says 19-year-old Akein Scott was arrested Wednesday night in a New Orleans neighborhood. Surveillance video taken during the Mother`s Day parade shows a large crowd running away in panic from a man apparently shooting at them. The man, dressed in a white shirt and dark pants, then turns and runs out of the frame. Police say Scott has a criminal history that includes illegal possession of guns and narcotics, as well as resisting arrest. Three people were seriously wounded in the shooting, and remain hospitalized. The other victims, including two young children, were treated and released with minor injuries. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/arrest-made-in-new-orleans-parade-sho oting/1662002.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/arrest-made-in-new-orleans-parade-shooting/1662002.html
