  Britain Investigating Pakistani Passenger Plane after Unspecified 'Incident'

   Britain sent fighter jets Friday to investigate a Pakistan
   International Airlines plane flying to Manchester from Lahore, after
   what authorities say was "an incident" on board the aircraft.

   A Manchester Airport spokesman said the plane was diverted to Stansted
   airport, near London. It was intercepted while flying in UK airspace.

   Local police said an incident occurred on the flight and that
   authorities are responding. No further details were given about what
   may have occurred.

   The news comes two days after a soldier was hacked to death on a London
   street in an attack the government says it believes was a terrorist
   incident.
