                    Car Bomb Explodes in Baghdad's Sadr City

   A car bomb ripped through a market in a Shi'ite area of north Baghdad
   Wednesday, killing at least 29 people.

   The explosion struck the Sadr city market during the morning rush.
   Hospital and security officials fear the death toll may rise. At least
   40 people were wounded in the attack.

   Several other cars and nearby buildings were heavily damaged, officials
   said.

   No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but the
   Islamic State group frequently carries out similar attacks in Baghdad,
   particularly in predominantly Shi'ite areas.
