Trump Apologizes After Lewd 2005 Video Surfaces by VOA News U.S. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump issued an apology Friday after a 2005 video surfaced showing him making lewd comments about women. In a statement, Trump said, "I apologize if anyone was offended," following an article by The Washington Post, which obtained the video of Trump talking with Billy Bush of "Access Hollywood." Trump is talking to the television reporter on an "Access Hollywood" bus, and they appear to be having a private conversation with only a few others on the vehicle. Trump is wearing a microphone to prepare for an appearance on the soap opera "Days of Our Lives." In the recording, Trump says of women, "You know I'm automatically attracted to beautiful -- I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait." "And when you're a star, they let you do it," Trump says. "You can do anything." Trump also talks about making other sexual advances toward women, speaking in graphic terms. In his statement, Trump said, "This was locker room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago. Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course -- not even close."
