(DIR) Patches and clients for other legacy platforms

These clients are intended for pre-OS X Macintoshes, though they
will generally work under Classic. They do not work on
Intel or Apple Silicon Macs except through SheepShaver or QEMU.

(DIR) Classilla for Classic Mac OS
Classilla runs on Power Macs with Mac OS 8.6 or 9, and has full
Gopher support. It also runs on Classic under OS X and Mac OS
under Rhapsody. It has a separate menu.

MacLynx is a port of the venerable text web browser, also
with gopher support. It requires System 7 and MacTCP or
       OpenTransport.

TurboGopher is the original gopher client for Mac, and will still
work on Power Macintoshes under Classic in 10.4 or lower.

This directory also includes GopherVR. Look at the screenshots for
an example. GopherVR was unfinished and many bugs still remain.
For GopherVR on Mac OS X, see
(DIR) The New GopherVR: A Virtual Reality View of Gopherspace

TurboGopher and GopherVR need System 7.5 or later, or System 7.1.x
plus the Thread Manager extension (not included in this
stripped-down distribution; download separately below ONLY if
you have a system version before 7.5.x).

FreePPP is included for your convenience.

Pre-built archives are available for OS X and Rhapsody, and
Power MachTen. See separate instructions for configuring MacLynx
and Classilla to use them for TLS 1.2 and 1.3 support.
