Floodgap's PowerPC Ports "PPCP"

This is a collection of useful software and packages ported to PowerPC so that Power Macs, now unloved and spat upon by a grinning, malevolent Intel-using majority unwilling to bother with Universal builds, can continue to do useful work. Due to popular request, I have made these available and I hope you won't make me regret it. To wit: These software packages HAVE NO SUPPORT. AT ALL. DON'T MAIL ME ABOUT THEM. If you don't know how to use them, it's not my problem. If they don't work for you, that's too bad. If they wreck your computer, don't bother with screaming at me. They work for me and I know what they are, and that's all I care about. Source code is available, so if it doesn't work for your purpose, have a go at fixing it yourself. Also, don't mail me about porting your own personal favourite package. If I haven't ported it, I don't need it, and I have lots of other things to do.

To reduce load on the webserver, software is hosted in Gopherspace. You can use any Gopher-compatible browser to access it, including Firefox 3.6 and below, OmniWeb 5.9+, Camino 2.1 and below, and TenFourFox, Firefox 4+ and SeaMonkey 2.1+ with OverbiteFF.

Unless otherwise noted, software is probably compatible with 10.4 Tiger and 10.5 Leopard on any Power Macintosh -- I say probably because I don't use 10.5. Similarly, unless otherwise noted, if you are running it on an Intel Mac for some depraved reason you must use 10.4, 10.5 or 10.6, because 10.7 does not have Rosetta. Did I mention I don't update these unless I want to?

For software that we actually might occasionally update and fix bugs in, see the rest of our Floodgap Software packages. This isn't them.

XNJB

XNJB is a package for transferring data to and from MTP-compliant devices. Many music players fall into this category, as well as Android 4.0+ devices such as my Galaxy Nexus (which only supports Media Transfer Protocol and not USB Mass Storage, damn you, Google). XNJB alleges to be PPC compatible through 1.5.9, but wasn't and wasn't for several versions, and Google's own Android File Transfer doesn't work right on 10.5 PPC, so here is a rebuild of XNJB 1.5.9 for PowerPC 10.4. It has only been tested for transferring photos and video to and from my Galaxy Nexus. It has not been tested with any other device or for any other purpose. Don't E-mail me about it if it doesn't work for you.

OpenCBM

OpenCBM is a package for transferring data to and from Commodore serial devices with parallel port cables like the X1541 series or USB interface cards such as the xum1541/ZoomFloppy. This is a port of Lallafa's 2.0 port of OpenCBM to PowerPC 10.4 for the ZoomFloppy only as his port does not build correctly with 10.4 MacPorts. It does not support the older xu1541 or any other USB-based device that is not xum1541 compatible. It does not use opencbm.conf due to bugs; instead, it simply calls the xum1541 dylib directly. It also includes xum1541cfg so you can reflash your device if needed. It has only been tested for reading and writing disk images with my Commodore 1571 disk drive. It has not been tested with any other device or for any other purpose. Don't E-mail me about it if it doesn't work for you.

I did say not to E-mail me, right? I know I did.
